Philip specializes in commercial litigation, including business and commercial real estate disputes.

Philip has complex trial and appellate experience as a public defender and has won numerous trials and appeals. He has experience briefing in a state supreme court, arguing before a court of appeals, and briefing and arguing all types of pretrial motions. He also has civil trial experience, working for an immigration litigation law firm prior to joining EPG.

Philip earned his JD (with a specialization in advocacy) and LLM in international and comparative law from Cornell Law School. He served on the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy as a managing editor, published a student Note on law and scarcity, and participated in federal appellate clinics, moot court, and mock trials. As part of his LLM, he researched and wrote extensively on designations of protected origins and their economic impacts. He spent his law school summers working for nonprofits and studying at the Sorbonne in Paris.

Philip is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and is admitted to practice in California, Michigan, and the Eastern District of Michigan.
